Ask before the start line

Will games lag on a cheap phone?

Not the games chosen here. We favour flat 2D titles that keep the whole match in one view and drop anything that draws crowds with 3D effects. After the first load, the second match of the day opens almost instantly from the browser cache.

I play on mobile data — does it cost much?

A three-minute match here costs less than a minute of video, because the page is light and everything sits in the cache after the first load. If a second match is as slow as the first, that is the sign of a page re-downloading on every tap — this site does not do that.

What can two people on one phone play?

The Small-Pitch Duels shelf: alternating turns or a split screen, with the score printed large enough to read at arm's length. Add a paper bracket and you have an eight-player cup inside a lunch break, with the loser running the timer for the next match.

Which games suit children?

Run & Hurdle and Street Hoops fit best: rules explained in one sentence, one-thumb controls, and nothing on screen but the pitch. Short matches also help a child stop on time without an adult reminding.

Why is there no site-wide leaderboard?

Because a global leaderboard demands accounts, servers, and a mechanism that pulls you back daily. Here the score belongs to your match; if you want a contest, the person beside you and a paper score sheet are the best kit available.
